All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

She is a 1 yo Griffon mix girl with THE cutest personality! Weighing in at 10.3 lbs, this little girl loves everyone and every animal she meets. HW negative and UTD on vaccinations, she is in foster awaiting spay next week. Then she will be ready for her furever home. Might that be you? 

She has the most sweetest and loving personality. Loves laying on your lap or beside you, long walks and taking naps in the craziest places, so if you can't find her when outside, check your planter pots  . Her big soulful eyes will have you falling in love with her over and over. She is a jumper so a high fenced in yard will be best. Healthy and is on heart guard. She has a lot of love to give

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
