All dogs listed here are available for adoption from Yorkie Rescue Houston.  Our goal is to ensure our rescued pets go to their forever home and never end up back in the system.  To that end, an application is required on all potential adopters.   Our adoption fee varies by dog.  We accept electronic funds via VENMO or Paypal, or cash only.

Puppies too young to be spayed/neutered are available for Foster-to-Adopt only.  A FTA contract is required.

This beautiful girl was found with her littermates at a construction site.  Workers took them to the Ft. Bend animal shelter where we immediately picked them up and took them to our vet for intake.  These babies were VERY SICK.  Giardia - Deadly intestinal bugs and wormy.  yuk

Baths and medication, and more baths, and more meds.  The diarrhea was persistent.  Another fecal sample was submitted for deep analysis.  A PCR test.  the results were bad.  Coccidia and cryptosporidiosis. 

More meds.  Finally, they started getting better.  Great appetites, great energy.  They are now healthy, happy, playful puppies ready for their forever home.

Effective Immediately - Due to limited resources, we will now hold FOUND (stray) dogs for 5 days. After that, they will be eligible for ADOPTION.

Please note that we have no shelter where our rescues can be viewed. All of our dogs are in private homes being fostered until they find their forever home. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application.

Please understand,

Yorkie Rescue Houston has no paid staff.  We are all volunteers.  We also have families, jobs and lives outside of rescue.  We do our best to communicate with our potential adopters, but please understand, we simply do not have the resources to contact every applicant personally.
